Love at First Sight
"The moment I saw you, I knew I was going to fall in love with you" We met online—through an app called Coffee Meets Bagel—in December 2022. Xueru was working in Shanghai, and Ryan was in Los Angeles. Our spark and connection was special.
Those first weeks of messaging led to our first dates while Xueru was on a trip back to the US (where she had lived for 8 years), and we immediately hit it off. The long distance was difficult as our feelings began to quickly grow but it built our strong bond till today.
After months of talking, we realized we could not give up the connection we had built. Ryan wrote a love letter to her, and Xueru booked a one-way ticket back to him. After that, the rest is history…
On March 3rd, 2024, Ryan proposed to Xueru on Manhattan Beach. It is a beach that we had visited before, but on that day the sand felt more white, the ocean more blue, and we realized what matters most is not your surroundings, but whom you get to share it with.
On June 8th, 2024, we registered our marriage at the Old Orange County Courthouse, and one year later, on June 8th, 2025, we hope to celebrate our wedding with all of you!
